EMC Networker 8.1 and Vmware ESXi
How do we use the Virtual licensing client with Vmware ESx hosts in classic client mode?
We have
2 Blades running vmware ESX 5.1 For this we require 2 Virtual Client Licenses
Running on these blades will be Microsoft Windows 2008R2 Machines. Some of these will be set up as nodes of a Microsoft Failover Clusters.
On these Clusters there will be a number of HA File servers.
We will be using the classic Client mode to back up due to the data disks presented to the cluster nodes as RDM disks.
Each HA File server will be set up as a client with data movers set to the virtual cluster nodes.
In the client settings for the Windows 2008R2 Cluster nodes we have to specify that the client is virtual.
How do we specify the physical host when the physical host is only running a hypervisor and does not have a backup client installed?

Hi,
The 'physical host' field is only used to define whether you have enough licenses to cover your virtual machines. It doesn't have to have a machine name which has NetWorker installed on it.
