EMC Networker Windows Disaster Recovery
Hello there!
Can I perform an EMC Networker Windows Disaster Recovery using virtual rather than a physical server? We do not have the EMC Networker Enhanced Recovery components which allow you to recover a physical to say a virtual. However - could we recover a virtual machine to a virtual machine? The admin guide states that it supports BMR to the same or similar Hardware. We have EMC Networker v8.1 and the servers are 2008 r2. thanks again Steve

P2V, P2P and V2V are supported but V2P may have some problems and is not recommanded.

You could, but with VmWare most likely you wish to explore DR via VmWare integration.

Hi Steve,
Doing a DR of a windows 2008 R2 on a virtual machine is possible. It same as you would for a physical server.
