Exchange MB Backup Fail

Question

All, We are running NetWorker 7.1.1 and Exchange module 4.0.0.44 on client Windows Server 2003 SP1 running Exchange 2003 SP2. The server is Solaris 2.8 running 7.1.1. We have been getting the following errors when backuping up the mailboxes, and the only way to get it to work is to reboot the Exchange server: * MSEXCH:MB savegrp: suppressed 6 lines of output * MSEXCH:MB mapi(247): MAPILogonEx() = 0x80004005: unknown error -2147467259 (0x80004005) * MSEXCH:MB svmain(908): begin_mb_item_backup() failed with status = 0x80004005 * MSEXCH:MB profile(158): IProfAdmin::DeleteProfile() = 0x80004005: unknown error -2147467259 (0x80004005) * MSEXCH:MB The XBSA transaction was not committed; the save operation did not complete. Does anyone have any idea on what the cause is? Thanks for your help.

This is a mapi32.dll problem. We faced this earlier and my colleague refered to Microsoft Knowledge base Article 817375. Check if ti helps.

Anuj,Thanks for the info. I actually already found this article, but it is applying to Exchange 2000. Are you using Exchange 2000?

There are several possible reasons for this if you check results returned by http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=0x80004005+MAPI&btnG=Search&meta=I would suggest to involve MS support.
