Exchange Module 5.0 fails when backing up distribution lists in PF
Maybe I am missing something here, but I had upgrade our Exchange Module from version 4.1 to version 5.0 a few days ago. After the upgrade we noted that the backups of our public folders (which contain contact information only) would fail if it encountered a distribution list. It did work in 4.1 without an issue. Any idea of what to do to correct the issue?

Can you tell me exactly what error do you get? (I assume you get failure also if you have distribution list as original poster).

is this a known problem with an existing solution? Or do you want us to contact support for further investigation at EMC? We're facing the same problems with NME 4.1 build 533 and NME 5.0. We've already opened a call at support.

Unfortunately there are no explicity errors in any log. The only message shown is "Cannot save Distribution List in Public Folder -- skipping."
The support sent me a snippet from some kind of NME release notes (I can't find it on powerlink at the moment) stating that restoring distribution lists did not work even in 4.1 base build but save operation completed without warnings. The functionality was removed in 4.1 build 533 and 5.0 release. But as my support contact said this should normally not lead to an error but only result in a warning.
BTW: Is there a possibility to send you a private message (eg. via mail)?

So, it sounds as something that should be blamed on MS. I did not see that in offline copy of document for 4.x at all being mentioned. Might be that it simply skipped leaving you without that skip notice. Now there is skip notice which is probably something that doesn't look nice, but seems to be limitation of ExOLEDB itself.
As for private email, I live in fear each day my boss might see level of my input here and kick my ass leaving me with option to work in night club as cleaner or window cleaner in Burger King or McDonalds. With that in mind, playing with email is something I'm not willing to do (even I love KFC popcorn chicken). Of course spam is another reason. However people behind this forum said they are considering to introduce message center or limited email inbox for forum users so perhaps soon that will be available too.

I understand your fears. I wouldn't like to work as windows cleaner either
