Hello Thomas!
Please provide me with some additional information:
Operating system of NetWorker server and client
SQL version
Does this occur only with scheduled backups or both scheduled and manual?
Are you seeing any issue in the logs of the client server, especially related to networking or SQL communication errors?
Once I have this information, I may be able to give you a better answer.

Hi Thomas,
Maybe I'm wrong but I understand this is an Exchange issue, correct?
In that case please check either nsrexchsv.raw file or nsrexchmbsv.raw, as some times the xbsa messages file doesn't show all the information.
If you could please render it and attach here the output/Error message that would help us all to identify the issue.
Thank you.
Carlos.
