GSS Legato authentication requests from other NetWorker Server
Hi,
I need some help to understand the issue described below. Your help is appreciated.
The environment has three AIX HACMP clusters running AIX 6.1 6100-06 with 2 nodes, one node online and one node offline.
Each cluster has a NetWorker server, NetWorker nw_7_3_2_jumbo.Build.399, running on the online node.
For every two hours every cluster is receiving GSS Legato authentication requests from all other clusters. For example,
host2 is receiving requests from host1 and host3 as shown below:
10/15/14 16:13:10 nsrd: GSS Legato authentication from host1 failed...
10/15/14 17:33:09 nsrd: GSS Legato authentication from host3 failed...
10/15/14 18:13:10 nsrd: GSS Legato authentication from host1 failed...
10/15/14 19:33:09 nsrd: GSS Legato authentication from host3 failed...
Can someone help to explain why?
The “IP address” of the nsr peer information of host1 does not host2 nor host3 .
The “IP address” of the nsr peer information of host3 does not host1 nor host2
.

its just that the nsrauth method was used and failed. All you have to do is revert the auth method to oldauth on all the 3 systems using the NetWorker 7.3.x. to disable nsrauth do the following and restart the services on thesystem where the changes were done so that the changes take affect.
# nsradmin -p nsrexecd
nsradmin> . type: nsrla
nsradmin> update auth methods: "0.0.0.0/0,oldauth"
yes
nsradmin> quit

Hi Rwong,
Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility. Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.
You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. Then search for and select: "Networker Support Forum" which would be the most relevant for this question.

Is restarting of the NetWorker server required for the change?
