Help with SSL Error
Hi
I'm wondering if anybody has encountered this error before and can shed any light on possible cause(s)?
The system it comes from is running
Networker 7.4.5 on a solaris 8 server and its backing up a WIN2003 client with 7.4.5 NW client.
The error has been seen when backing up other clients of the same type.
We noticed the error when investigating backups which were taking longer than usual to complete.
Could the error indicate a problem on the network or firewall causing the backup delays?
Affected backups do eventually complete, perhaps an hour or 2 later than expected
This is the error recorded in the daemon.raw
39078 10/23/10 22:00:06 0 0 2 4631 12022 0 xxxxx nsrexecd SYSTEM error: SSL Error: Unable to create connection object Remote host zzzzz
Its all I have to go on currently
Now. I've not seen this exact error reported on powerlink, and its not recorded in the 7.4.5 error guide.
Regards
jethro

This looks as if the clients in the Local Hosts resource could not add the nsr peer information and exchange the certificates. Most likely a firewall issue.
For all NetWorker clients, you must at least open ports 7937 & 7938 at all times.
