How do I send a bootstrap report to e-mail?
I'm running Networker 9.1.0.2. My "Server Protection" policy saves the bootstrap report to the log but I'd like to also have it send me an e-mail with that info. How do I configure Networker to do both?
Thanks.

All you need to do is to change the action field in the notification. I believe it is currently using nsrlog command?
If your NetWorker server is Unix or Linux, then as per the following kb:
How to configure E-mail and print out Notification together
https://support.emc.com/kb/310924
Send to a email and printer together:
tee /tmp/bootstrap.out "/usr/bin/lp -s -c -t bootstrap -d ; mailx -s " " support@legato.com
If your NetWorker server is Windows, then you may want to look at the following article:
bootstrap email
https://adsm.org/lists/html/Networker/2011-05/msg00118.html
Good luck...

Thanks for the reply. My NW server is Windows. Unfortunately the article you linked to is confusing.
I found from other discussions about this issue that previous versions of Networker (discussions were from 2007 and 2011) didn't support multiple bootstrap notifications, so you couldn't get NW to do multiple things with the bootstrap information.
Does anyone know if that's still the case? If so, what is the best method to have NW log the bootstrap backup information to the policy_notifications log (as per default) AND send the same info (not the entire log every time) to an e-mail address?
Thanks.

The difficulty in using the Unix solution is that there is no "tee" command built into Windows.
However, there are "tee" utilities that you can find and use. This link has information:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/796476/displaying-windows-command-prompt-output-and-redirecting-it-to-a-file
I tried one of the suggested utilities "wintee" and it seems to work like the Unix "tee" command. It can be downloaded from:
https://code.google.com/archive/p/wintee/downloads
Give it a try...

Hello brastedd,
Sending Bootstrap information only worked for me when I edited the "POLICY" properties using the smtpmail command (nsrlog comannd is entered there as default)
smtpmail -h -s ""
