How to backup consistently changing log directory

Question

Hi,   We have a log directory on a solaris server. This directory' s backups were never finished due to the changing of log file names .  This is a production server and we can't stop the application and we have to backup that logs. Log names were changing regularly and networker can't sense it and . Is there any way to backup that directory without stopping application ? Thanks.
