How to clone VBA appliance to build a Networker and VBA upgrade test environment

I have cloned EMC networker servers and VBA for the update testing.

But the services on VBA do not come up.

I even took a manual checkpoint of the VBA and shut it down before cloning it.

And still it was same and the services won't start up and no checkpoints are there.

What can be done to bring these up?
