I can not leave it as is as I want to be able to re configure it.
My problem is that I am not able to configure as is. That why I wanted to delete it and re scan for drive and reconfigure it , hopefully. If there is a way I can configure it as is it will better for me. I can not do it via the GUI.
Can you explain why you are not able to configure it then? There are two ways; from GUI using reconfigure library (if this would be jukebox device) and with jbedit from CLI.
I have 14 storage nodes configured in total, each with only one drive attached via HBA port (FC Switch)
I am having problems with two of my storage nodes;
S/Node A and S/Node B.
When S/Node A is configured and I try to configure device of S/Node B, I get a message device already exist on S/Node A. The only way I can configure S/Node B is to remove device from S/Node A; see message from daemon.log below;
It semms there is a cross link between S/Node A and S/Node B.
I see why they could not be cross linked - they would be configured in DDS then. Only if you are doing non DDS setup this is when you would see such message.
Looks like your problem is slightly different. If your VTL has already been disconnected from your server, a simple reboot and a scan for devices on the NW gui should clear the unconfig devices. If that doesn't fix it, would suggest you start a new thread.

How can I use nsradmin to achieve this?
Thanks for your help.
