How to kill a save process

Howdy. I am trying to kill a local save process. Example: i killed the job on network admin on my desktop. It shows the group stopped but it continues to show it backing up! I go to the specific server and see all of the save processes running. When I try to 'end process' on any of the saves it says access denied. How to I end those or is it not possible? Thanks

Sounds like this is Windows box. If task manager won't help, then try tool from:
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PsKill.html

If that doesn't help then it is dead end - the only way to kill it is to reboot machine (or leave it till the end).
