How to recover single item for Exchange 2003

Question

Hi all,

I'm looking for the question:How to recover single item for Exchange 2003? That mean if my customer delete one mail item in Inbox and he/she need to recovery that mail. I can only recovery whole Inbox and if the Inbox had 1GB in size I need to have another 1GB to recovery. That what I don't want to have.

Please help with this issue,

You can you item level backup and restore with module even at MAPI level MS does not approve it. I believe latest incarnation of NMM also supports it using VSS, but I'm not 100% sure - you could check docs. What MS is pushing is RSG approach from which everything that you need should be restored.
