If you need that kind of consistency, you should go for storage array based snapshots.

Hi Andi,
I don't really agree with you, basically because I don't think you need to have all your files within your file system backed up at the exact same time, correct? or do you?

Hello Carlos,
Yes I realy need a solution for this Problem.
do you mean it is impossible to combine those two needs:
(One VSS Snapshot for a short Downtime of Whatever
+ More performance with high parallelism)
even with a self made backup command!
+ Without altering the File Location (link to snapshot).

If the data on the filesystem is very large why not get a device connected to it locally and convert it into a dedicated storage node ?
