Nitin,

I need a littl more information

Are your backups going to disk and your clones to tape?

What is the speed for the backups?

What is the speed for cloning? Is that the 47Mbps?

Once I have this, I will be better able to assist you.

You won't necessarily expect the same speed for backups and clones as the infrastructure involved will vary.  It would help if you first could give an overview of your infrastructure for both backups and clones.  You seemed to indicate that backups were slower than clones; could it be that you don't have enough client data arriving at the backup server/storage node(s) to drive your disk/tape for backups faster than this?  If so you could have more clients backing up simultaneously by moving backup groups closer together or tuning parallelism settings to allow more backups to run simultaneously.
