Hyper-V backups failing after installing the KB2919355

Hello,

Our environment is Networker Server 8.1.1.7, and on the Hyper-V host - Networker 8.1.1.2 and NMM 3.0 SP1.

We have a Microsoft Hyper-V Cluster with 4 physical nodes.

Until 11.08 the backups worked perfectly - the VMs hosted and also the system state of the Hyper-V hosts.

But after my colleagues from Infrastructure Team installed on only ONE host the Windows Update KB2919355

the savejob for the VMs doesn't work.

We also installed the hotfix for this update : 2966407 but still the Hyper-V savejobs don't work.

Does anybody know how to resolve this issue?

If I update the clients to 8.1.1.8 is there a chance to work?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

CatalinM.

Hello Catalin,

As explained in the following thread:

https://community.emc.com/message/835361?et=watches.email.thread#835361

See below:

Hello all,

In some cases customer have overcome the issue originated after installing Windows 2012 R2 update
Microsoft update KB2919355
by applying MS fix KB2966407

If you have already applied this fix, I would recommend you to raise a case with EMC support and request the fix provided under NW161433 for NW 3.0.1

Thank you,

Carlos
