Insufficient permissions to access mailbox

Hi,
we are using Networker v7.3.1. and exchange module for 5.0sp1. Since our IT-Manager left the company, backup of Mailboxes is not working anymore, our new has set his credentials instead of of former IT admin, but it is still not working. Where can I check to make it work again.

please check attached error message of failed saveset:

In the client resource for this online Exchange backup, under the Remote tab there are filed: Remote User & password. Use them to resolve this.

Does it still give the same error...chekc the permissions that this user has and do they match with the ones required as per the admin guide.

In docs and KB you will find what permissions are required for mailbox backup. That is actually what error says itself...

What you want to do is strip down the client config of what you need:
Client Config:
backup command = nsrxchsv
Leave remote user and password blank
Test out a backup

Also take a look at the /nsr/applogs/xbsa.messages & nsrxchsv.log to see what is happening

Next on the client try to do a manual backup
1) set the backup options in the GUI to a higher level of debug (4) and then see what happens

If this fails then send the clip of err-msgs that you get.

Also try from the client side is to associate nsrexecd to start with a Domain_Admin_Service_acct and then re-try the backup.

What is the results.

In NW 7.3 later vision, you could add the Remote user and Password in the client's Access field. Client -> right key -> properties -> Apps & Modules -> Access
