Is it possible to put comment lines in the Clients Save Set ?
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to put comment lines into the Save Set field on a Networker Client, is their a character that can be inserted at the beginning of a line ( i.e # ) that will force the job to ignore that line.

Nope. You can have comment line in NSR client resource. If you are looking for comment line n mdb, then I would rather use meaningful name of the group. If that is not an option, you can also check -N option for save where you can use symbolic name for ssid.

No - it is unusual for the save set list in the client resource.
Otherwise the NW file system walker would not be able to find the object to be backed up.
However, it is possible when you run a manual backup (save -N [-l ] pathname(s) ).
NetWorker uses this for example for itself (Index & Boostrap backups).
