Jobquery and improvements
I've read that the jobsdb is improved and that it's some sort of transactional database. I have applications running jobquery commands to get a better output of the failed backups on my networker 7.6 installation but is there a better/new way to query the jobsdb for results like posibility to run SQL query's to the database?

I plan to check this next week if I catch time. I have swiss knife script which also uses jobdb (to query currently running groups, show current sessions, kill groups or list failed sessions and restart command if case it hasn't been restarted since last failed timestamp). New jobdb is using database and I have to check how this whole thing works though I'm not in hurry to upgrade yet. I suspect certain things might have remained same, but without touching it I can only guess. The main reason why I recently downloaded NW is exactly to play with it during summer vacation and come up with migration plan for the script I used for operational tasks.

Hi
and thanks for your reply. I have the plans but also don't have the time i think that i need to get this going. But would be nice to have some sort of API or just a "sql-query-tool" for jobquery. Maby we can compare or findings after the summer. to see what progress we have and if even possible. I will ask med contacts at EMC for more info too.
