LDAP permission problem
Hallo,
I have NW 8.1 linux redhat x64. NMC is configured with LDAP authentication of AD users.
Login to NMC works. Problem is that users logged on on a client cannot recover local data.
NSR usergroup users (*@*) has no effect. Error is "insufficiant priviledges"
Are local user recoveries blocked by LDAP?
The only local user which can recover data is root on the backup server.
regards
Bernd

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility. Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.
You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. Then search for and select: "Networker Support Forum" which would be the most relevant for this question.

Hi Bernd,
Yes, you need to log into the machine as domain user or add the local users into the appropriate group in NW server.
Thank you,
Carlos
