NDMP Client connection software needed for SnapImage

Question

Hi,

I am investigating what I have to do to have the SnapImage Legato software installed. I have the SnapImage software, NDMP Tapeserver software....

But on Page 23 of Module for SnapImage - Install and Admin guide, they speak about installation of " NDMP Client connection"

Is this another package ? What does it do ? Where can I download it ?

All fine but where can I find that NDMP Client connection ? Is it a package ? Can I download it from the EMC site ??? Or does it come with the SnapImage software itself ?Rgds,Johan

Is not a package, NDMP Client are included in NDMP Tapeserver but is only a license for Networker.

For Snapimage you need:1. Snapimage License2. NDMP Client ConnectionNot need a Tape Server, we use in a customer snapimage solution and only use this two license.

The manuals of Legato are often not 100% clear about what is needed to get somewhere.

NDMP client connection is used to commicate between Legato server and NAS server. It means authorization.

Hello Salvoenic,

Will need a helping hand on the roadmap, we have snapimage 2.2, working fine on a Windows 2003 x64, but since data to be backup has increase dramatically (> 2TB). I will need to upgrade to Snapimage 2.5 the lastest one which should help us get a backup > 2TB for our full.

But the roadmap to the installation, don't mention nor Licence Manager, neither NDMP Tape Server ... ?

Can you explain how did you setup ?
