NDMP backup failing - cannot run level 1 backup on filesystem
We backup our replicated Celerra using NDMP. There are 3 file systems that fail every week, and since it fails, I am unable to run level 1, 2, 3, etc backups on those file systems. When I try to copy or delet the files that it fails on, I get an "Invalid File Handle" message. Support ran FSCKs on the filesystems 2 weeks ago, and this past weekend, the error still occurred.
This problem has been ongoing since an unplanned power outage in our datacenter took down the production Celerra. We do not backup this Celerra, we back up the replicated Celerra. We have tried deleting the files in question, but the problem moves to another file. Sometimes, I forget to take care of the file it is having an issue with, and it backs up that file ok the next week and another file had the problem. It's the same 4 filesystems, and the files are in the same subdirectory structure.
Networker 7.6.2.Build.638
nsrndmp_save -T dump
HIST=y
UPDATE=y
DIRECT=y
SNAPSURE=y
Has anyone had this type of issue?

Hi
If NDMP backup is not full that means no flag for completion. So you cant run Level 1,2, 3 backups. The message "Invalid File Handle" must be due to an issue with inodes or filesystem.

Celerra Support has removed the files on the replicated side. We have deleted the corrupted files on the Production side and the issue moves to another file. We ran a POC for the Avamar Accelerator, and it failed due to this problem.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem. I always seem to stump support

Support has finally figured out what is going on. Apparently it was the code level of the deduplication we were using on the Celerra. They were able to fix one of the filesystems this past weekend. We are working on the other 4.
