NMC does not show current save sessions

Hello,

My NMC started to not show running save sessions. If I go to the Sessions tab, or even if I look at the details of the save group, the running sessions field is always blank. Finished and not started savesets show fine, and browse and restore sessions show fine too.

I restarted gst services a couple of times, but I still get the save behavior, and I don't see any error messages. In nsrwatch and daemon.log I can see that all sessions are going fine. I'm using Networker 7.3.1+Jumbo.

Does anyone seen this before?

It does not matter if I select All Sessions, or Save Sessions, it does not show any current save session.

I just updated from 7.3.1 to 7.3.2 and I still have the same behavior.
There are a huge backup running (387 savesets [raw devices]), so I'll wait for this one to finish and see if anything changes.

Sounds like either java or bug somewhere else. Did you try NMC from 7.3.2 package?

Well, that backup finished and I still have nothing showing in the console. I will reboot the server console as soon as I can, but if the problem persists, I will have to contact support, but with all these problems they're having moving from Customernet to Powerlink, it may take a long long time to get any help on this.

We have the same problem. I've had a case opened with EMC since October 12, they've provided no fix as yet. We upgraded to 7.3.2 three weeks ago and have had nothing but problems since.

After restart of the Networker Server things began to run fine again. Thank you all for your inputs.

That happened here too, I rebooted the server and everything was fine, for about two days that is. Then it went back to the same old behavior.

On what patform yout NMC and server are? Are they running on the same or different box?

Sorry for not responding, I haven't been in the forum in awhile. Our platform is Solaris 8 and the console is running on the same box. Most times there are no sessions showing in the gui, but they show in nsrwatch. When I look in the details window of the group, the sessions that are showing in nsrwatch are in the waiting to run section.

I did see something like that few hours ago with NMC coming with 7.3.2 - when I restarted the NMC session everything was fine - not sure what the problem was. Not to mention sjowing different drives using in device monitoring tab and session tab (and that happen after one I/O so we believe that casued the split brain thing, but I have no idea why and how would that be related - actually it might be that session monitoring tab didn't update device info... I bet it was that in my case).

We are not happy with the support we are receiving. We have many outstanding issues with 7.3.2. We've been told our cases are at the next level of support for at least a month and a half. I wish it was easy to revert to an older version!
