NMM Exchange 2010 backup
This is a brand new 8.1 install, and I have several open issues but I'll just address them one at a time in these forums. This is just a standalone Exchange 2010 SP3, RU6 server that I am trying to backup via NMM so I can do message level restores. The backup has never been successful. The error message is below. As I said, I'm new to Networker and couldn't find this issue in a search. Seems odd that an invalid option is being issued.

It appears the default inactivity timeout of 30 minutes was being reached and the job was failing. A support rep set it to 0 and the backups are now writing to disk. If they finish successfully, I will mark this as the answer, at least for Exchnage. Unfortunately, SharePoint just failed, but that's another thread.

-q is normally ignored by nsrsnap.
However, did you specify snapshots in the Groups property ? if so, set to rollover !

Thanks for the reply. I do have snapshots enabled, and they are set to rolloveronly at the group level. I don't know why it's not ignoring -q. I suppose that might be a red herring, hard to tell at this point.

I'm not sure why you think it's a test install. It's the initial installation of our production backup service.
