NMSQL 5.2.2 Build 24 was the last release which supported SQL 2000. It is no EOL. Can you please contact Product manager/Sales team to get extended release of NMSQL.
The backup ran for awhile then failed on these errors. How do I fix them?

NSR_BACKUP_LEVEL: full; NSR_GROUP: ; NSR_SAVESET_NAME: "MSSQL:"; NSR_SERVER: ; Backup operation finished with error(s). Refer to the module backup log file for details. Unable to find any full backups of the save set :MSSQL:' in the media database. Recommending that a full backup be performed.

ELN: This is due to the NMSQL module does not understand the new options which NW Server sends (I think your server is latest version than NMSQL) You can ignore this message.

ELN: This is intentional, can you make the mentioned database online. When user performs SQL Instance level backup (MSSQL:), application will check all the db state and whole backup will be marked as failed as one or more db's are not backedup. Try making the db online and perform the backup.

According to old Comp Guides NMSQL 5.2.2 should do the job - you can download it from:

NMSQL is not a supported module now .
Latest compatibility guide can be found @ http://compatibilityguide.emc.com:8080/CompGuideApp/ which is an online one .
I think there is no support for SQL 2000 ...
