Networker 7.2 and LTO4 drive in IBM 3584 issue ?
Hello,
I have Networker 7.2 and this weekend we upgraded tape library IBM 3584 with LTO4 drives. Do I have to upgrade Networker to a newer version (7.5 ?) to be able to work with these drives ?
And in release notes 7.5 on third page, is enabler code for pre-version of Networker, do I need this enabler code for site Licence Managment under power-link ?
M.

For both 7.4.x or 7.5.x (in your case) you need update enabler which you can obtain from EMC. Actually, update enabler is in docs, but to get auth code you will need their licensing. And that will work only if you paid annual fee otherwise you are not entitled to do that,

Can I ask how you managed to get 7.2 working with LTO-4 drives? I'm trying but I can't get legato to mount an LTO-4 tape into the LTO-4 drives. Drives are configured as LTO-3, and will happily load LTO-2 tapes, but error when I try to mount an LTO-4 tape.
Thanks,
Tony
