Networker NDMP Client License
We have VNXe 3100 storage,Configure 2 CIFS Server.Now we are Trying to take NDMP backup.So i want to know how many NDMP Client License required.

Depends which license model you use, but it legacy one you need NDMP connection license.

You can have CIFS, you can have NFS, you can have FC.... all that is irrelevant for NDMP. NDMP is protocol and as such is used for backup of volumes which you export to clients via CIFS, NFS, FC - not relevant for backup. Backup you can do also using CIFS or NFS from clients where this is attached - I believe official view of EMC is that if you can use NDMP then this is not preferred/supported state (at least in the past they used to say that). If you ask for licenses on VNX, there is no special license you need for NDMP.

Thanks for reply Crvelin, But my requirement is how many ndmp client license required .(I am using VNXe 3100) and i Have CIFS Server on it .Both are different IP
