You are correct, if this was a 64-bit server this wouldn't be an issue. And next year, this box qualifies for our hardware refresh and our environment will be rebuilt on that, but in the mean time it is what it is.
My instinct tells me that leaving the /3GB switch off is likely the correct setting, but I'd like to be sure.
It would be nice if this was addressed in the documentation or in the procedure generator (I did like the TCP/IP tuning section in the PG doc, that was a nice inclusion).
I was not aware 32 bit OS could handle more than 3.x GB... I know there are tricks with BIOS which mostly work (kind of) on Linux, but not sure about Windows. Those settings are more OS related so looking for this on MS KB could turned out to be more successful way of digging up information.
