IP Less DAG can be backed UP by creating an entry in host file for the DAG name and the IP addressing to any one physical node. Its not recommended because if that node fails backup will start failing
I'm working with EMC to set up Networker in our environment and having the same issue configuring NMM for our IP-less Exchange 2013 DAG. We had the same issue with Netbackup adding a record in the hosts file on the backup server allowed us to resolve the DAG name to the backup IP address of one of the member servers. I've replicated this on our Networker server but the NMM config checker still fails.
Will the config checker fail but the actual backups work or should the config checker pass as well?
