Networker client for Solaris 2.6
Hi,
It's my first question and I'm not sure if this is the right place, if so my apologies.
We had a hardware failure on an old Solaris 2.6 box which used to be a Networker server but at some point was "demoted" to a client only.
It was backed up recently so I thought that I will just rebuild the OS, install the client and recover as per usual but sadly no old media for the Networker version it had been running (ver 6.1.3 Build.428) can be found. Search online was futile and EMC product page does not list such an old version. In short I cannot recover and building the system on a more "recent" Solaris release is not an option. Is there any way to obtain that old (and obsolete/unsupported) version or perhaps a newer client compatible with Solaris 2.6?
pkginfo for the client pakage listed (incidently the install date was not that old but still):
PKGINST: LGTOclnt
NAME: NetWorker for Solaris (Backup/Recover) Client
CATEGORY: application
ARCH: sparc
VERSION: 6.1.3.Build.428
BASEDIR: /usr
VENDOR: Legato Systems, Inc.
DESC: NetWorker for Solaris (Backup/Recover) Client
PSTAMP: gelato0211212144
INSTDATE: Mar 05 2008 17:02
HOTLINE: Please contact your local service provider
STATUS: completely installed
FILES: 63 installed pathnames
1 directories
40 executables
60671 blocks used (approx)
Thank you in advance for any help with my query.
Regards
Slawek

Hello Slawek,
I don't have access to a Unix machine to extract and double check but 6.1.3 was released back in the end of Dec 2002 and I believe that you can get the binary from:
ftp.legato.com
username: anonymous
cd to the /pub/eval/2003Q1 directory and the file to get is nw_sol.tar.gz
Note: All files are hidden in this directory.
Let me know if that does the trick.
Thanks
Debbie

Debbie,
Many thanks,
The package worked perfectly. Spot on version. It was a long day but the system is now recovered and back online.
Thanks again and Merry Christmas
Kind regards
Slawek
