Networker encrytion for commands

Question

Hi, We was testing NetWorker encrytion with backup over LAN, these tests were fine, but with a sniffer we could watch the commands of networker weren´t encrypted. Is there a patch for Networker to encrypt the commands? or is there a procedure to encrypt the commands of NetWorker? or is it the NetWorker funtionality? Regards Equintan@

As far as I am aware there is not; the encryption ASM is there for your data and not for communication between Networker server and clients. Is there any reason why this data being visible might compromise your data?

Hi,The reason is the customer area of security is very estricted, This area want to know if we can do something about it.I understand Networker has the form to work and some caracteristics, but I want know if it will be possible.I will explain to the customer that NetWorker has this caracteristic.RegardsEquintan@

Just emphasise that there should be no compromise of data as that is encrypted when it is transmitted.
