Please note that Networker 7.4.x is no longer supported since September 2010, so as a first approach I would recommend to upgrade to 7.5.4 or later version of Networker Server and client.
To me, the error message looks like VSS is not able to get the information of some volume. To verify this please run the following command:
By default Windows 2008 R2 creates a System reserved partition with no letter assigned, and is that is the case you should manually assign a letter to that partition in order to facilitate VSS to get the volume information.
I wanted to let you know that the problem should be fixed by assigning a letter to the reserved partition however Windows 2008 R2 is only supported with Networker 7.5.2 or later, so in that case you will need to upgrade.

Hello Johan,
Is the client Windows 2008 R2?
Please note that Networker 7.4.x is no longer supported since September 2010, so as a first approach I would recommend to upgrade to 7.5.4 or later version of Networker Server and client.
To me, the error message looks like VSS is not able to get the information of some volume. To verify this please run the following command:
vssadmin list volumes
Also please refer to the following solution:

By default Windows 2008 R2 creates a System reserved partition with no letter assigned, and is that is the case you should manually assign a letter to that partition in order to facilitate VSS to get the volume information.
Please let us know if that helps.
Thank you.
Carlos.

Hi Carlos,
I installed V 7.5.4 and it did the thing. Many thanks.
I thought that it was not allowed to run a more recent version of Legato on the client than on the Legato server.
Enjoy !

Johan
