first of all you have to check wether the SUN SAN 4.x driver package (delivered with Solaris 10 or http://www.sun.com/storage/san) or Emulex lpfc-driver is used. The Sun driver does automatically persistent binding, in lpfc driver you have to edit lpfc.conf or use lputil to configure that.
