Problems back NMC

Question

My problem is that I can not Networker backup of Management consoled as to perform the respective configuration and run the backup to NMCASA gst_on_SNW :/ / lgto_gst generates the following.

1 retry Attempted

19241: savepsm: Could not access configuration file C: program fileslegatomanagement \ etc \ gstd.conf.

and not even backing up manually by executing the command savepsm-I "C: \ program files \ legato \ management \ GST" and configuration within the Backup Client Command savepsm placing staying either backing up without asking Tape backing to support .

Someone that has happened to this and can guide me to solve this case.

Hi Juan,

I would try to use NMC wizard to configure the NMC backup.

For this you need to open just the main NMC window (do NOT launch the application), and go to:

Setup-> Set Database Backup Server.

In the window you type in the top field the name of the Networker server that will backup the NMC

Check the box that mention "create a client resource for this server" and that should automatically add the client name.

Only consider that, if you have already a client entry created in NMC, just modify the name (short or FQDN) so that it matches with the one already created.

This will create a client in the Default group and will configure the client and the saveset (most likely the problem here) for you.

What NW version do you use?  To me it looks as if backslash is not escaped correctly.  Can you post here nsradmin dump for this specific client resource along with NetWorker version/build on both server and NMC please?

7.5 on both server and NMC?  Thta's old and usupported too.  With that said, you may have hit some issue which existed back in that time in build which you use, but without build number it is hard to speculate.  You should consider an upgrade to at least 7.6SP5 version (latest patch can be found on ftp).

Si de hecho el post lo coloque también en español pero provoco confusión decidi eliminarla y dejar solo este, pero tomare encuentra la liga que me mandaste para posibles dudas.

On the possible upgrade to higher version and I thought if requested, but doubt that this route was no anomaly is supported with this version so to re-create it in the post discussed the best solution I see is the upgrade to 7.6. 5
