Read open Error : device file name specified is busy

Question

I have problem with my drives, Backups running quite some time after that tapes stuck and its shows read open error : Device file name specified is busy(drive status is DRIVE_STATUS_UNSET). Its in Networker 7.3.4. Can some one help me to resolve this issue..

The error says that the drive got unset. You can check the drivers and connectivity and a reboot. If the problem is not solving you need to contact your hardware vendor.

yeah its correct, I have contacted hardware vendor, They checked twice and replaced new drives, Even the problem will come, so what should be the next step

Remove all device drivers and reinstall them with the latest device drivers. Also check if the drives are with latest firmware as recommended by the vendor.

Also if using fibre attached device then check for persistence binding.
