we now have the same problem recovering ASR from SERVER_OLD to SERVER_NEW.

Recover his own ASR is successful. SERVER_NEW is listed in the remote access attribute of SERVER_OLD (administrator@SERVER_NEW).

system state restores are meant to be restored to the original server. Does your new server have the same OS, patch level, SP level and hostname as the old system ? if any of these are not the same your restores will not work.

Ok, but ASR is then very useless because you have to build every day a new asr disk for all your systems...

the original server is broken (both boot disks failed at the same time) so it is not possible to recover it to the original server.

Is there no way to get this running or do we have to use the legacy way (os installation, client installation, recover)?

Isn't ASR used with older (no longer supported) Windows only?
