Hi Michael,

Could you please provide us with some more information?

Can you please clarify what is exactly the problem? If possible attach some screenshots and/or error messages.

Thank you.

Hi Carlos,

I'm testing Performing full recovery from a Mailbox Database based on "Application Guide" from NMM 2.3.

You can recovery the contents of a backed up database to the original database by performing full recovery.

To perform full recovery:

1. In NMM 2.3, select Exchange 2010 Recover Session > Recover Options >

Recover in the task bar.

2. Select the database in the NMM 2.3 GUI.

3. Select Recover in task bar.

Fisrt I perform the Backup of Mailbox DataBase

Then the backup finished fine and without problems

In this point the Exchange Admin delete 2 Mailbox user  (Test1 and Test2) wich are in Mailbox database that was backup.

I applied the Full recover overwrite of the mailbox database and then finished fine and without problem Mounting the Mailbox database after the recover . Taking into account the above like:

  • Perform a full level backup after every recovery performed in Exchange 2010.

  • Before performing a recovery in Exchange 2010, ensure that the “This database can be overwritten by a restore” option in Exchange Management Console is selected.

When the exchange administrator check the recover information inside the Exchange Management Console previously deleted mailboxes are not.

This is the problem. Looks like if there was nothing information.

I attached you some screenshot and recover's output about this situation:

Hi Michael,

There is nothing wrong in the logs. Can you check please Application, System and Exchange event logs? I'm sure you will find more information in there.

Thank you.

Carlos.

Hi Michael,

Sometimes takes a while for the RDB to be created and mounted.

How long did you wait?

Also, as always, did you check the Application and Exchange event logs?

Thank you.

Carlos.
