Restore from DD Replica

I'm somewhat new to EMC Networker and have inherited a Network/Data Domain set up and I'm a little confused.

The current set up is a single EMC Networker Server/Storage Node that sends the backups to a data domain.  We'll call it DD1.  There is a second data domain device at a remote location that is set up for replication from DD1 to DD2.

In the Networker Administration console there is a single device configured that uses the share from the DD1 device.  It is not configured as a "Data Domain System" as there is no DDBoost license as is required.

My question is:  In the event of failure of DD1,  How can I configure the networker server to recover save sets from DD2?  As far as I can tell, DD2 is not referenced on the Networker server at all.  I know the replication is occurring because I can see the storage system on DD2 containing all the same files as DD1.

Most likely you do not have DDBoost license so you use replication at DD level without any knowledge of backup application. In case of disaster, your DD1 would be gone so you would need to define devices to point to DD2 using same access path as original device (or just rename DD2 into DD1). Obviously, and ideally, you would use DD Boost instead and have CCR relationship between DD1 and DD2, but this requires extra license.
