Hi Carlos,
I have requested SQL DBA to create a common user account with SQL SA for service account. I will let you know the status asap. Thanks

Hi Prakash,
Did the modifications of the SQL accounts helped you to backup SQL DB's or are you still facing the same issue?
Thank you.
Carlos.

Hi Carlos,
SR has been created and as per them(EMC) installed MS VDI simulator in the client, still not able to backup the SQL DB's. EMC tech said this has to be fixed from SQL side. Will let you know the status asap.

Prakash

Carlos,
They (SQL DBA) didn't get customer approval to create or modify existing SQL account. :-)

Hi Prakash,
Re-registering VDI was my first suggestion as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830575, but still no luck, right?
Are you still getting the exact same error message during the backups?
Thank you.
Carlos.

Carlos,
We are getting the same error message after re-registering the VDI.

Hi Prakash,
I think the user settings is the key here.
I agree with EMC, I believe this is SQL related, however let's see the outcome of the SR.
Thank you.
Carlos.

Hey Prakash,
Did the last MS KB from Hrvoje helped or any of the previous ones?
Thank you.

This a permission issue.
ensure the account being used can access the Server and SQL instance
