Software Administration access denied

Hello Community,

when I try to start the "Software Administration Wizard" i get an Access denied message:

Unable to start Software administration.

User on host was denied Access to Software Distribution on

I can Access the wizard when i use the default administration user account.. But I fail when using my own account that is console user, console Security Administrator, console Application Administrator and added to the user Groups: Application Administrators and Security Administrators by using:

user= , host=

I am using Networker 8.2.2.0 Build 926. NMC and Networker Server are located on the same virtual Maschine running MS Windows 2012 R2

I do not know where to look further. Anyone got an idea?

Regards,

Patric

Hi,

the account is added under NMC / User and Roles / Users. One interesting beahvior is, that i may edit the networker Server configuration with my own account.

I am beginning to think that this error does not have to do with the user accounts and permissions they have but may be located elsewhere.

Assuming that you account shall have the same rights as THE administrator, I would add this account in NMC, not in the NW Admin window. This makes the whole configuration much easier.
