A bit more details will not really harm ...

Did you move only the drive or also the storage node?

Did these objects remain in the same data zone?

Are drive and volume correctly defined and visible (in the new data zone)?

If it was moved to an new data zone - did you scan the volume already?

As one usually browse the databases on the NW server I am surprised to see such feedback. What exactly did you do?

Hello,

I installed a new Networker server A and storage node B

Storage node B is on different server. that is also a win server.

I want to add these storage node's B afd to my new networker server A.

I dont have any library and dd as of now.

I want to store data on Storage node's D drive using AFD.

Coarse roadmap for storage node B:

  - If B was acting as a NW server, you have to shutdown and disable the server daemon (nsrd.exe).

  - Also stop the NW client (nsrexecd.exe)

  - Adjust the list of allowed servers ..\nsr\res\servers to allow server A to communicate

  - Restart the NW client daemon.

On the NW server A:

  - Add storage node B as client

  - Add the AFTD on B as remote device

  - DO NOT LABEL THE DEVICE !!!

Now back to the new storage node B:

  - Run 'scanner -m or 'scanner -i' on the device to add the save sets to the new databases.

  - Set the volume to read/write :  nsrmm -d notreadonly

  - Finally mount the volume

And do not forget all other tiny details like licensing etc. ;-)
