Two scripts backing up same directory

All, Here's what I'm running: Networker Server running Solaris 10 Version 7.6.3 Type: NDMP Backup Quantum Adic i6000 Bluearc NAS 6 IBM LT04 Drives 2 IBM LT05 Drives If I've missed something please correct me. I have two separate backup scripts, which backup identical volumes.  One kicks off every friday (offsite) and the other every sunday (onsite).  The reason for starting the offsite backup first is to prevent drive contention or volume backups conflicting with one another.  At the moment, they are both waiting to run a backup of /home, which resides on the NAS, using ndmp as the backup protocol. The problem I'm having is that neither script will start the backup of /home, which I'm assuming is being caused by both scripts trying to backup of the same directory.  I've increased group parallelism and checked for NDMP drive availability, to no avail.  The backup refuses to run. Could someone please give me an idea of what the problem and how to go about alleviating it? Thanks, GM

If this is started via script, you might see delay simply because pool requested is not right.  But why use script in first place?
