Two tape drive have same symbolic name

Folks,
I have 2 IBM LTO-3 tape drive assigned to a storage node server. I can see 2 tape drives are listed in Device Manager and both symbolic name are shown as Tape0 which is not right.
Hence, when i do inquire, both drives listed as "Tape" instead of \\.\Tape0 and \\.\Tape1. What could possibly cause this behaviour? Any tips appreciated. Thank you.

These are system information:-
1.Networker 7.4
2.HBA LPe1150-E
3.Windows 2003 SP2(storage node), Windows 2003- no service packs (Networker
Server)
4. Quantum Scalar I2K with LTO 3 tape drives.

NW does not support 2 NICs we were told. We experienced lots os problems before we disabled one of the NICs. Since then no similar problem occurred.
Disable one of the NICs if you can.

This is a OS & drivers issue. May be both the drives are using the same channel or the same SCSI ID etc.
