VADP proxy not working, 8.2.1.2

Hi all,

I have quite a weird issue here, the environment is a NetWorker server on Oracle Linux 7.1, and the proxy is running windows 2008R2, fully updated.

The server and proxy are brand new, replacements for old servers. Both are total fresh installations, NetWorker group, pool, schedule, directives and client definitions have been copied from the old NW server to the new, but not media db, or indexes or any other stuff. Everything has been checked and double-checked.

Now, if I try to run a VM backup using: savegrp -l full -vvvc secure-proxy MonthlyVM01  it just fails.

In the /nsr/logs/sg/MonthlyVM01/192693 savegroup output file I get:

92347:nsrsnap:***************** Snapshot Management operation has started, logging to "C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\logs\nwsnap.raw" *****************05/18/15 08:32:31.631465 [nsr/save/nsrsnap.c 613] Calling nsrrm_host

05/18/15 08:32:31.662665 [nsr/save/nsrsnap.c 888] Calling get_pool_name..

And that is all.

On the proxy, in the nwsnap log file I get:

92347 18-05-2015 08:35:08  0 0 0 4568 4564 1431930908 fukushima.prude.internal nsrsnap NSR info ***************** Snapshot Management operation has started, logging to "C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\logs\nwsnap.raw" *****************

92347 18-05-2015 08:53:49  0 0 0 4188 1408 1431932029 fukushima.prude.internal nsrsnap NSR info ***************** Snapshot Management operation has started, logging to "C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\logs\nwsnap.raw" *****************

Again, no errors, it just stops.

So, if I do a nsrvadp_save -D9 and look at the output, it all looks ok, apart from a few lines:

05/18/15 13:04:53.166518 RPC Authentication: error in LookupAccountSid: No mapping between account names and security IDs was done. (Win32 error 0x534)

05/18/15 13:05:36.479109 nsrvadp_save: Calling createSaveArgument() at line 1970 @ nsr/save/nsrvcb_save.cpp.

90252:nsrvadp_save: Unable to create the arguments for the save process. Exiting.

05/18/15 13:05:36.479109 nsrvadp_save: Calling CleanupAfterBackup() at line 1010 @ nsr/save/nsrvcb_save.cpp.

Cleaningup VADP mount operation.

The last two is where it gives up and just exits. I can see in vcenter that snapshots are made en deleted properly.

Anyone got any ideas?
