VCB and sending data to a specific NIC
Hi all,
I configured a vcb backup of a virtual server. I configured the proxy with a Networker client and the Networker server has 2 interfaces. Is it possible to direct the data to a specific network card of the server? I already tried the server network interface parameter in the client properties of the proxy, but without success. It always communicates over the primary nic, but not the backup nic of the Networker server. Thanks a lot
Regards Mark

proxy host--abc Backup LAN hostname abc_bk
backup server---xyz Backup LAN Hostname xyz_bk
I done following and it works:
Hostfile in abc:
PublicIP_BKP_SVR xyz
BackupLanIP_BKP_SVR xyz_bk
BackupLanIP_Proxy_SVR abc_bk
Hostfile in xyz:
PublicIP_Proxy_SVR abc
BackupLanIP_Proxy_SVR abc_bk
BackupLanIP_BKP_SVR xyz_bk
Then aliases of proxy host should contain public ip, public hostname, backupIp and BackupHostname of Proxy server and SNI should be backup lan ip of backup server.
Try this and see the results.

thanks for your answer, but we already checked it and it doesn't help. The backup of the proxy filesystem works fine over the "backup LAN". We also used the entries of network server interface and storage nodes, but it doesn't help either. Any more ideas? Thanks a lot in advance

I opened a case with EMC and after a few days, I received a new binary for savegrp. This fixed the problem. Sorry, but they didn't give me any fixnumber. Just request it.
