VMs disappear from protection policies

Hello,

We have a recurrent issue with our NW protection policies, some of the VMs are removed from the group for no obvious reason and therefore no backup is taken

see here, 30 vms yesterday. and only 24 this morning.

Anyone already seen this ?

thanks,

Julien

Ive seen similar issues in the past. We have about 2300 vm's, and Ive accidentally selected the same VM through vsphere, under another policy. Granted, im not sure whether that should de-select the VM or not, however.

In this case, no change was made to any VM in the envt, they're just removed from the protection policy for no reason

Hello,

Could you please confirm:

1. Networker version, Vcenter, and ESX version

2. VBA version , you can run below command on the VBA's CLI:

rpm -qa | grep ebr-nw

3. Are those affected VMS only those VMS which show "out of date" on Vcenter?

Thank you

Hello, NW 8.2.3.2 is released with VBA 1.1.3.7 Please find attached the Charlie patch for this VBA. Please apply the patch as instructed in the read me files FTP: Connecting via a web browser https://ftp.emc.com/action/login?domain=ftp.emc.com&username=p6xvFkicN&password=wZVBZw6N69 Secondly, please make sure to install and update VMware tools Then perform a backup to confirm if vms are dropping. If yes, then please run the below command on VBA and send it to us (after the Charlie) patch rpm -qa | grep ebr-nw rpm -qa | grep AvamarVMwareCombined
