VSS issues in a VADP Backup
I'm using Networker 7.6 sp2 and running some VADP backups on WIndows 2008 R2 client. In the backup, I get these messages:
savegrp: suppressed 62 lines of output.
7285:save: Volumes selected do not support the use of VSS. NetWorker software will save the files using the legacy backup method. No snapshot will be taken.
7281:save: VSS snapshot failed with error 0x80071126 -- The file or directory is not a reparse point.
When the VADP snapshot is being created, there is a message on the client showing that VSS is trying to backup the floppy drive. Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error DeviceIoControl(\\?\fdc#generic_floppy_drive#6&2bc13940&0&0#{53f5630d-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b} - 0000000000000404,0x00560000,0000000000000000,0,00000000003375E0,4096,[0]). hr = 0x80070001, Incorrect function. .
Has anyone encountered this before, and how does one resolve this issue? The backup does complete successfully but I'm wondering if I should be concerned about this.

As per the error, it is something related to Floppy drive. As long as the back up is successful, I dont think this is an issue. Try to disable the floppy drive in the Device Manager of Windows and see if the error goes away
