Currently windows 2008 R2 is not supported within any NetWorker version. We are expecting to introduce support at 7.6.1 which is due to be released soon.

There is a Support solution on Powerlink which details the error you are seeing and that Support is due to be introduced this quarter (esg107680), so please look out for announcements.

You are right, now the backup works in mixed environments ( Networker Server 7.6.0 + Networker Client 7.5.2).

Right!!! this is very helpful . but i am also having VSS issue ,

structure is below:-

Backup server : Unix +7.5.2  legato version

client : Win2008 + 7.4.2 legato version

But getting vss error after also update the  client version 7.5 instead of 7.4.2 .

any idea how to resolve the issue ?

7.5 like 7.5.2?  And what kind of error do you get?  If not the same, I would suggest separate thread...

NW client for Windows 7.5.2 is the only version, so far which supports Windows 2008 R2 OS.

Apart from that, even after installing/upgrading to that version there is a change you still get some errors related to VSS.

The error reported is because, by default, Windows 2008 R2 doesn't assign any letter to the reserved partition, so you need to assign manually a letter to that partition from the Disk Manager in order to fix that error.
