When the backupserver is restarted the AutoLoader is disabled

When I restarted the backup server for some Windows patches I started getting these error messages. Thought it was the patches so I uninstalled them again without any change. Apparently something else has gone wrong. It's not often the backup server is restarted.
If I wait for the retry attempts to finish, and Networker disables the autoloader I can enable the autoloader, and all the backup runs fine.

After testing I found that I can either wait for the retry attempts and enable the autoloader, or restart the services before networker disables the autoloader. Both actions makes networker run without problem, and the autoloader is not disabled.

Running Networker 7.3.2 Jumbo Update 1 build 386 on Windows Server 2003 Std SP2 x86. All Windows patches is installed to date. The server is a PowerEdge 860. The jukebox (autoloader) is a Compaq SSL2020 connected to the server by a SCSI Card, Adaptec 39320A Ultra320 SCSI.

See log below, this is the log after restart of backup server. I have stripped the first 9 retry attempts. First seven rows repeats 10 times.

~09:22 Networker is started. It tries 10 times and logs the information below.
09:36:25 the jukebox (autoloader) is disabled.
09:43:42 I manually enable the jukebox from NMC.
09:45:00 a schedule job is started.

a) unload all devices
b) disable auto-configuration if enabled
c) delete jukebox
d) delete devices
e) stop nw
f) delete everything inside C:\Pro...\nsr\tmp
g) start nw
h) make sure RSM is disabled
i) run jbconfig
j) run nsrjb -IIv for your library

If it does not work you should contact your support.

I believe this is known issue with timing at the startup - at least that is what test suggests. To my knowledge patch exists so you should get something from support soon.

Hello,

I did as you wrote, no change. I have contacted support, no solution so far.

Tested further. If nsrd service is set to manually so it won't autostart at startup, and then manually start the service after logon no error messages appear. I feel like it's a service or device that doesn't finishes starting before nsrd starts, when the nsrd service is set to autostart.

Any ideas are appreciated.
