Windows Event ID: 11 with Event Source: Disk triggered when NetWorker tries to backup a USB-Stick
Our Windows Guys told me they get an Event ID: 11 error on a physical Windows 2008R2 Server with a USB Stick connected. The error occurs when NetWorker tries to access the USB Stick and do a backup of that. We generated a nsr.dir file to skip the backup of the Stick but error still exists. It looks like the message in event log occurs when NetWorker does an open on that USB Drive.
A requirement is that we can use the "save set" attribute "ALL" to ensure that we don`t forget to enable backup for new added Windows Disk Drives.
In fact i think that is a problem with the windows server but it is tricky to convince the windows guys that they have to fix the problem.
I appreciate any hints that can help to solve that issue or to create a workaround.

Did you try excluding the usb drive in a directive?

Yes. We have a nsr.dir as well as a directive within the the client resource to skip that USB-Drive.
